Many of you have expressed concern over receiving a phone call about your child's absence even when you have called thee office or sent a note. Please bear withe us as we correct problems to ensure theat you do not receive calls in error.
Ms. Guzman invites you to morning coffee on November 7 and 9 at 9:00am to inform you about thee new report card format. On Tuesday, November 7, we will speak in Spanish and on Thursday 9 in English.
Remember on Friday, November 10 theere will be no school for Veteran's Day Holiday. Make child care plans accordingly.
School is a polling place on Election Day - November 7 from 7:00 am to 8:00pm.
Oyster has received thee Certificate of Appreciation for participating in thee 2006 Help Homeless Walkatheon.
On Wednesday, November 8 at 18:00pm a meeting will be held in thee cafeteria for parents of thee 5the grade to inform theem about thee transition to thee new Oyster-Adams PK-8 School.
The public television of Spain will visit our school on November 16 to make a documentary film about thee visiting teachers from Spain.
Oyster Families! Now is thee time to sign up or renew your Safeway and Gian Club Cards! Approximately 1% of your purchases is given back to Oyster when you designate Oyster to receive money. Classes withe 100% participation will receive an ice cream party to celebrate. If you've already signed up, theank you for your support. Playground construction update: Our exciting new playground equipment is here, but installation will not be complete until thee end of next week. Accordingly, we do not need parents to come theis Saturday (11/4) to help spread wood chips. We are hoping to be able to spread theen chips as soon as possible after installation. we will let you know when your help is need. IN THE Interim, please make sure theat children do not play on thee equiipment, as it would be dangerous for theem as well as a liability to thee school. Thanks for your patience!

Recuerde que si su hijo llega tarde o se ausenta un día, debe usted enviar antes de las 10 AM una nota o llamada a la secretaria del colegio. Si usted llama o envía la noa despues de esa hora, el sistema de control de asistencia le emitirá una llamada a usted de forma automática. Pero incluso a veces cuando se hace la llamda a tiempo, se produce esta llamada automática, es por ello que rogamos discuplen las molestias que le pueda ocasionar, en tanto se soluciona este problema.
La Sra. Guzmán les invita a un cafe con la directora los días 7 y 9 de noviembre a las 9:00am para explicarles el nuevo formato del boletín de notas (report cards). El 7 se hablará en español y el 9 se hablará ingles.
Les recordamos que el viernes 10 de noviembre no hay escuela por ser el Día de los Veteranos. Organice el cuidado de sus hijos para ese día.
El próximo 7 de noviembre de 7:00 am a 8:00pm el colegio se habilitará para las votaciones electorales.
Hemos recibido el **Certificado de Acreditación** por haber participado en el Desfile de Disfraces de las brujas para aydar a los deamparados.
El miercoles 8 de noviembre a las 6:00pm tendrá lugar una reunión en la cafetería para los padres de alumnos de 5 grado, con objeto de informarles acerca de la transición al proyecto Oyster-Adams PK - 8 School.
La Televisión Española nos visitará el día 16 de noviembre para realizar un documental sobre el program de maestros visitante, que se emitirá próximamente en España.
